Barack Obama was in Washington last week. As the rest of the audience, and I guess the rest of the city, I listened really carefully to one of his captivating speech.
More than the political aspect (speaking about latinos issues), I really was amazed by his power. I mean, he is able to gather everybody around him, he has charisma, and that’s precisely what I like in him. I want to be a good journalist and create a new kind of content as he is a political candidate that creates a new kind of politics.
Other inspiring ideas that I got from this speech: having an African American candidate is possible here, and I cannot help myself but wonder: could it be possible to see that in France? I don’t know, I am not really sure. Because even if I know my country is more liberal on many subjects and issues, I know that people are conservative in their way of considering politics and in their vision of the country.
I like the fact that everything is possible.
…And just because I am so proud I saw him, I can say now that I did one of the things I wanted to do on my list of THINGS TO DO in the US. Achieving something I really wanted, is really good for me. Thanks Barack O.
